Common questions
Is 10 GB enough for 14 days in the United Kingdom?
TfL, maps and messaging fit the normal band. This is a high-intent eSIM destination for EU visitors because home roaming is no longer automatic. Type G at 230 V needs a UK adapter. The 6–9 GB estimate plus buffer lands on 10 GB. Hotel Wi‑Fi is not counted. Streaming video on mobile is the usual reason to go larger.
Should I roam in the United Kingdom instead?
After Brexit, A1 and Drei bill the UK outside EU roaming (as of 21 Oct 2026: A1 Roaming Pass €4.90 per GB or Datenwoche 2 GB for €4.90, Drei 1 GB for €5 or 5 GB for €10). Magenta says roam like at home still applies there until further notice.
